In this article I am going to discuss vitamin supplements for women in particular. Let me tell you what vitamins are and how useful they can be. A vitamin is an organic compound and these are essential to help your body grow and remain healthy. What this means, in simple terms, is that a vitamin is a natural chemical. Of the essential vitamins, there are thirteen major ones, the lack of any one of them can mean you are deficient in a certain vitamin.

You must only take vitamins to help supplement a well-balanced diet and not go overboard, so take vitamin supplements in moderation. Take only as much as you need and no more, and if your diet is as good as it should be, then you may not need any vitamin supplements.
You must remember that they are, as the name suggests, supplements and they are not designed to replace a well-balanced diet. Be sensible and use vitamin supplements carefully.
